Computational Modeling
The goal of computational modeling is to develop and test psychological hypotheses
through functioning models of psychological processes. We are
actively engaged in a range of such projects, often carried out in
tandem with empirical research. Among thethe topics being investigated
are speech perception, conceptual development in children, language
acquisition, and affect. Research facilities include a fully-equipped
departmental computational laboratory, as well as extensive
computational facilities in the laboratories of individual faculty
members.
